The map above right shows the 12 major districts of Berlin with the historic district of "Mitte" in the centre of the city. You'll find most of our apartments in "Mitte", which is also home to some of the city's main sights:
"Museum Island" - with five of Berlin's most important museums, the Reichstag and the famous Brandenburg Gate. The TV tower in Alexanderplatz is the highest in Europe and offers 360° panoramic views of the city.
The trendy Prenzlauer Berg, Potsdamer Platz, the Berlinale (International Film Festival), Moabit, Wedding, Tiergarten, Hansaviertel Gesundbrunnen, and Spandauer Vorstadt can also be found in "Berlin Mitte".
Unter den Linden, just behind the Brandenburg Gate, makes a great starting point for visiting the city. It was once bisected by the Berlin Wall and former site of Checkpoint Charlie. Today it's a popular shopping destination and it's where you'll find some of the smartest shops in town.
